Anastasia Necklace
This was another one of my more complex experimental creations, featuring a mix of three distinct styles / techniques at play.
A substantial medallion pendant and accompanying glass beaded dangle is hand-wrapped with gold-filled wire and attached to a 24k gold-plated toggle clasp that closes in the front
An assortment of burgundy oval garnet gemstone beads alternates between natural-cut carnelian gemstone nugget beads, with iridescent shimmery garnet Swarovski crystal beads
The piece continues with a section of the same Swarovski crystals woven together with small gold Miyuki Delica seed beads to create a sort of lace-y yet sturdy band across the neckline to help bear the weight of the necklace a bit more evenly
Pieces like these are really fun for me to make as I get to test out new techniques and just see what comes out of it! ◡̈
This is a fairly bold and definitely unique one-of-a-kind piece that deserves a fun and funky owner!
